We had a lovely break between Christmas and New Year. The lodge is in a beautiful location and if you bring your wellies there are some beautiful places to explore. The lodge is beautifully cosy to the point we didn't even light the log fire. Our 2 young girls loved the horses roaming the area and having the gated area meant they were completely safe running around. Nicky gave us a great local tip of Romsey Rapids, only a 10 min drive and it was an amazing swimming centre - even a huge slide for big kids. Thanks Nicky, we will definitely be back to explore more of the New Forest.

Lovely accommodation! Great location and spotless! We stayed for easy access to Paultons Park which was only 10 minutes away. My boys loved waking up to the horses in the morning. Nicky added some lovely touches including toys and books for the kids!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. We really enjoyed our stay, our 18 month old daughter particularly enjoyed watching the horses for the window! Good amenities, very comfortable and child friendly.

Squirrel Lodge is well equipped, well presented idyllic cottage set over looking a grass paddock in a forest clearing.
We really enjoyed our stay over the Easter Weekend enjoying forest bike rides with the kids, walks around the beautiful villages and the kids enjoyed a pony trek in Brockenhurst.
Private, allocated parking next to the lodge is very safe. Would definitely revisit.

We had a fabulous stay at Mill Lane Farm Holiday Cottages. The cottage was perfectly located within the New Forest to access both forest and coastal activities. The cottage was immaculate, the bed linen and towels were beautifully clean and cottage kitchen well equipped. (we could have done with one large pan). We made good use of the washing machine and the outdoor drying facilities.
The outdoor space was perfect for our children - safe and enclosed. Kobi the horse kept them well entertained at the bottom of the garden.
We were met on the driveway by wild ponies on several occasions and spotted deer in the adjoining field. The locked bike storage was a great facility to ensure these stayed safe.
We loved our break and will certainly return.

The property is in a lovely setting quite and rural, but within easy reach of the charming village of Minstead, with a shop, cafe and pub/ restaurant.
We walked or cycled every day and did very little mileage in the car.

We all loves staying here for 2 weeks, its such a beautiful setting. The cottage was perfect size and really well equiped. We've spotted horses, donkeys, cows, Pigs and deer, but our sons favourite animal is Koby. Sam loved feeding him carrots and chatted away to him every day. Thanks Nicky for a fab stay.
